Materials Lab Online first appeared in 2010 as a section on Workshed. Its aim was to deliver high quality videos demonstrating the failure mechanisms of a variety of materials. The resources on Workshed have been extensively used by university students and lecturers across the globe.
In 2014, we received a substantial grant from the Institution of Civil Engineers’ R&D Enabling fund to create 20 new films in partnership with Imperial College Department of Civil Engineering.
And today, we would like to announce that these new videos are now available on the Think Up website under our collection of innovations. Each video contains a detailed explanation by leading experts from Imperial College and the University of Bath of the test parameters and the associated failure mechanisms for each sample.
