Ed McCann appointed Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor of Innovation at UCL

We are delighted to confirm that Ed has been accepted as a Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor of Innovation at UCL. The appointment follows on from his year undertaking that role at the University of Strathclyde. At UCL he intends to build on this work with Iain MacLeod at Strathclyde to develop a new model for teaching structural engineering fit for 21st Century learners. Much of this work will revolve around bringing the Expedition Workshed website into the classroom.
The move to London will enable Ed to more closely tie together his teaching work and his work in practice, and will allow him to more effectively draw upon the resources of Expedition Engineering and the rest of the Useful Simple Trust in his teaching.
