Description

12:30 – 1:30pm, 11th November.

In October, Think Up launched Make A Scape: an apocalyptic educational engineering app, designed for school children and undergraduates.

Make A Scape helps users develop a tacit understanding of structural behaviour through an imaginative interface, and future world concept. The app encourages users to build efficiently in real-time and to test their structures under live loading through an enjoyable and imaginative interface.

This presentation is intended to give you an insight into the design process and Think Up’s plans for future development of the game.

Jack Bardwell will lead us through the creative process that he worked through with co-designers Gennaro Sennatore and Charlie Banthorpe. Oliver Broadbent will then talk about how the game has been created to be an educational tool.

When the talking is over, you will get the chance to try the game for yourselves.

We created Make A Scape with support from the Ove Arup Foundation, the Institution of Structural Engineers and the Useful Simple Trust.

Light refreshments will be supplied.

Aimed At
