Last week 15 undergraduate engineers took on the challenge of assembling, operating and dissembling a mock up of the primary circuit of a nuclear reactor. The event was designed to inspire young engineers to take up a career in the nuclear new-build sector. The event took place in the Big Rig, a specially created learning environment hosted at Bridgwater College, close to the site of the UK’s next nuclear reactor at Hinkley Point.
