In 2013 University College London and Think Up launched Engineering Knowledge Club with the aim of inspiring undergraduate engineers to develop their own engineering general knowledge.

Students were encouraged to identify gaps in their own knowledge and skills, identify activities that would enable them to acquire the relevant knowledge and then use a blog to share their new insight and thoughts.

These blogs were monitored by the University and Think Up to see if they could add a different dimension to the learning experience and positively reward participation in the club.

And as an example, a site visit was arranged to Crossrail where the club members were able to look further into and discuss tunnelling techniques with industry experts.

Positive reviews from students has meant that the club continues to grow.  Use the link below to see what they are currently up to!
